Potenza Microneedling with Radio Frequency

Potenza Microneedling with Radio Frequency

The loss of collagen and elastin is a natural part of aging, which can begin after the age of 20. The use of radiofrequency (RF) energy and fine needles is designed to restore and prevent the degradation of collagen and elastin, thus improving the appearance of uneven tone, thin skin, and wrinkles. Treatment can be done any time of year, on all skin types, anywhere on the body—including face, neck, decolletage, abdomen, buttocks, arms, and above the knees.

With the ability to interchange multiple RF modes and tips in one machine Potenza’s treatments are fully customizable and more tolerable than competing technology. Cynosure’s Tiger Tip™ treats multiple layers of the skin at once. Also, the Fusion Tip allows for enhanced topical penetration for antioxidants and PRP while a single tip handpiece targets and improves blemishes.

Initial treatment consists of 3-5 sessions, 4-6 weeks apart for optimal results. Improvement may be noticed after the 1st or 2nd treatment, but will continue over the next 6-12 months.

CONSIDERATIONS PRIOR TO TREATMENT
  • No sunburn, sunless tanning spray or lotion two weeks prior to treatment.

  • Must stay out of the sun during course of treatment.

  • Avoid retinol and skincare products containing acidic ingredients (glycolic, salicylic, lactic) for 5 days prior to session.

  • Begin taking antiviral prophylaxis treatment 5 days prior if prone to Herpes I or II (i.e. valacyclovir/acyclovir).

  • Avoid alcohol 48 hours before and after your treatment.

  • Drink plenty of water and stay hydrated one week prior.

  • Alert your practitioner beforehand if you have an implanted metal device, are immunocompromised, are allergic to metal, or have trouble healing.

SkinPen Microneedling

SkinPen® by Crown Aesthetics is the first FDA-cleared device clinically proven to improve the appearance of wrinkles of the neck and facial acne scars for people aged 22 and above. As the superior microneedling device, SkinPen is approved for use on the face and an area of the body and has over 90 validation tests to prove safety and efficacy.

SkinPen creates micro-channels (microscopic holes) at a rate of 1600 per second. These wounds stimulate your skin, kicking in the creation process for collagen and elastin into high gear. Best of all, SkinPen doesn’t rely on heat or chemicals, so the results are natural and safe for all skin tones and types.

Fun fact: You produce as much collagen in ONE SkinPen treatment as you normally produce in a YEAR.

Multicolored tattoos, including blues and greens

Stubborn, previously treated tattoos

At Stellar, we use DESCRIBE® PFD patches. When the laser passes over your tattoo, a white, bubbly layer forms. pass over this area again until that bubbly layer is gone — and that can take a while. So, we can traditionally make only one laser pass per treatment. The DESCRIBE Patch works quickly to eliminate that white, bubbly layer, making it possible for the doctor to perform up to 4X as many passes per treatment session compared to traditional treatment. The Patch also helps protect your skin from the heat of the laser, which may reduce the likelihood that your skin will be damaged. Less injury can translate into reduced time between treatment sessions.

Intense Pulsed Light

IPL Photofacial or photorejuvenation, is an effective, non-invasive way to treat and reduce sun damage, brown spots, broken capillaries and irregular pigmentation. It uses intense flashes of light that penetrate deep below skin's surface to break down pigment and target hemoglobin (for capillaries) and melanin-producing cells.

IPL is used to treat the face as well as areas on the body such as décolleté and hands. Common treatable conditions include hyperpigmentation (dark/brown spots), sun damage, freckles, rosacea, facial telangiectasias, port wine stains, and cherry angiomas. Downtime is minimal.

IPL is for those with light to medium skin tones.

CONSIDERATIONS PRIOR TO TREATMENT
  • Must not be actively tanning (outdoor tanning, tanning bed, self -tanning creams/lotions/sprays) within 2 weeks and should refrain throughout the treatment plan. Please note, if you have an active tan, your appointment will be rescheduled.

  • Avoid retinol and skincare products containing acidic ingredients (glycolic, salicylic, lactic) for 5 days prior to session.

  • Begin taking antiviral prophylaxis treatment 5 days prior if prone to Herpes I or II in the area to be treated.

  • Shave the treatment area the night before if the area has abundant hair growth.

Laser Hair Removal

Our highly-skilled Stellar professionals use IPL and fractional laser light to target unwanted hair, both coarse body-hair or the finer hair on the face.

Our technology is so precise that the light energy is selectively absorbed by the melanin in the hair shaft, matrix, and follicle while not affecting the surrounding skin. Thermal damage to the hair bulb causes thinning/lightening of hair and delay in hair regrowth with the possibility of permanent reduction.

IPL is the treatment of choice for unwanted pigmented hair of any location. These treatments are done in a series of 4 to 6 sessions for optimal results. Due to different hair growth stages, multiple treatments, 4-6 weeks apart, are necessary for hair removal. Consider annual maintenance treatments.

  • Do not wax, tweeze, bleach, use hair removal creams or electrolysis on treatment area(s) 4 weeks prior.

  • Must not be actively tanning (outdoor tanning, tanning bed, self -tanning creams/lotions/sprays) within 2 weeks and should refrain throughout the treatment plan. Please note, if you have an active tan, your appointment will be rescheduled.

  • Avoid retinol and skincare products containing acidic ingredients (glycolic, salicylic, lactic) for 5 days prior to session on the area being treated

  • Begin taking antiviral prophylaxis treatment 5 days prior if prone to Herpes I or II in the area to be treated.

  • Shave treatment area on the day of your procedure.

CONSIDERATIONS PRIOR TO TREATMENT

Icon 1064 Laser Vein Treatment

Cosmetic laser vein treatment refers to a noninvasive treatment to eliminate spider veins and reticular veins, the small visible veins close to the surface of your skin. To give you the best results, the Stellar team uses one of the most advanced lasers: the Cynosure Icon Aesthetic System and its 1064 laser handpiece.

The therapeutic effect produced by a laser depends on qualities such as the wavelength. The Icon 1064 operates at a wavelength that’s absorbed by the red and blue pigments in your visible veins. When you provider places the laser against your skin and sends out a pulse of laser energy, it’s absorbed by the veins without harming the surrounding skin or tissues. The heat from the laser destroys the veins, and your body gradually eliminates them.

CONSIDERATIONS PRIOR TO TREATMENT
  • You will need to avoid strenuous exercise for 5-7 days and wear compression stockings during this time.

  • You will need to avoid sun exposure during the duration of your treatment sessions.

  • Begin taking antiviral prophylaxis treatment 5 days prior if prone to Herpes I or II in the area to be treated.

  • Shave treatment area on the day of your procedure.
